How to connect Hostaway to hostAI

hostAI is the AI growth platform for short-term rental brands. hostFront, the direct booking website and booking engine, runs on your own domain and stays in sync with Hostaway. hostMail (guest email) and hostDistro (managed Google Ads) run on top of it. This guide walks through connecting your Hostaway account so hostAI can sync your listings, photos, rates and availability, and write direct bookings back into Hostaway like any other channel.

Before you start

• You need admin access to your Hostaway account.
• Have your brand's domain handy if you want the site on your own domain from day one. You can add it later.

Step 1: Get your Hostaway API credentials

1. In Hostaway, open Marketplace and find hostAI.
2. Click Connect. Hostaway prompts you to create a public API key for hostAI. Click Create.
3. Copy the Account ID and the API key. You will paste both into hostAI in the next step.

Step 2: Create your hostAI account

1. Go to app.gethostai.com and click Get started.
2. Enter your company information.
3. Select Hostaway as your property management system.
4. Paste the Account ID and API key from Step 1 and continue.

Step 3: hostAI builds your site

hostAI pulls your inventory from Hostaway. Your site preview is ready in as little as 24 hours. The hostAI team reaches out to configure your domain, review the preview with you and schedule go-live.

What stays in sync

• Listings and photos: new and updated Hostaway listings appear on your site automatically.
• Rates and availability: pulled from Hostaway so guests always see live pricing and open dates.
• Reservations: bookings made on your hostAI site are written to Hostaway, so your calendar, channels and guest messaging keep working as before.

After go-live

• Two blog posts a week are written, fact-checked and published to your site for you.
• SEO pages are generated from your inventory, and every page is structured so Google and AI assistants can read your proposition, rates and availability.
