These terms cover your use of hostDirect, provided by Insporation, Inc. (hostAI), to find vacation rentals, check stay information, request prices, and follow links to property managers' booking websites.

Finding and booking a stay

hostDirect shows participating properties and information supplied by property managers and their systems. Results do not represent every property available in a destination. Prices and availability can change. Review the current total, taxes, fees, cancellation policy, house rules, and any eligibility requirements on the booking website before completing a reservation.

hostDirect does not complete a reservation or take payment inside your assistant. A search result, quote, booking link, or price request is not a confirmed reservation. The property manager's booking terms govern the reservation you complete with it.

Name Your Price

Where offered, you can ask us to send a price request to the relevant property manager. Confirm that you want to send it and provide accurate contact and stay details. You must be authorized to use the contact details you supply.

A phone number is optional. If you provide one, we share it with the property manager for contact about your request. Providing it does not opt you into marketing calls or texts or replace any consent required for a call or text.

A price request may result in an immediate offer or a later response by email. A discount, response time, or continued availability is not guaranteed. Any offer applies to the dates, guests, expiry, and other conditions shown with it. You still need to complete a booking to secure the stay.

Responsible use

You may use a supported AI assistant to make requests on your behalf. Do not impersonate someone else, submit unwanted requests using another person's contact details, send spam, bypass usage limits, or interfere with the service. We may restrict requests that misuse the service.

Information and assistance

AI-generated explanations may contain mistakes. Check important details on the property manager's website or with the manager before relying on them. For an existing reservation, payment, refund, cancellation, or access to a property, contact the property manager listed in your booking confirmation.

Service limitations

To the extent permitted by law, hostDirect is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that prices, availability, explanations, or booking links will be complete, current, or error-free.

To the extent permitted by law, hostAI is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using or relying on hostDirect. Our total liability arising from hostDirect is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid hostAI for hostDirect in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Payments to a property manager for a stay are not payments to hostAI for hostDirect. These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability the law does not allow us to limit.

Governing law

California law governs these terms, except where applicable law requires otherwise. This does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections in the place where you live.

Changes and your rights

We may update these terms as the service changes. Any updated terms will be published on this page. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.
